my favorite Mardi Gras Experience Friday, Dec 12 2008

Mardi Gras is one of my favorite holidays. It is so exciting to me to go out with my family and wake upe early in the morning and go on S.t Charles and put on my cutest outfit to go out and walked up and down St.Charles to see everone who was out there to come and see the zulu parade and we all have so much fun. Some people are drunk and actin craxy but you just have to know where to be and at what time because that . This is a feeling of a certainty of fear .The person knew that they were afraid   they had lost one of their most treasured belongings. This story also talks about the certainty of life’s priorities as well. Having life’s priorities is something that has been said to be common amongst elderly people .There is also a phase that many people go through it’s called a mid-life crisis. This is where the men want to die there and take the entire gray away and get a sporty car or a motor bike and a young woman something that makes them feel young again To have that feeling about life can really be scary to some people .examples of a certainty of fear and many stories that help explain it even better. This title is explained through-out the entire story. Whoever reads this story will have a greater understanding for the meaning of this story by the time they finish reading

what are my professional plans and how does xavier’s mission effect it. Friday, Oct 24 2008

My professional plans are to become an elementary school teacher. I would like to minor in early childhood education so that I can own a nursery .This is something that I have been practicing at since I was about twelve years old. I feel this mission will be affecting me because I will b a leader. I will be leader of my classroom. I think that this major is something that I have always felt that I should do. When I was little I said I wanted to be a teacher but I found out later that it did not make very much money. I then looked in to dentistry. Then when I started to teach kids and get the real feeling of teaching .I realized that this was one of the best feelings that I had ever had .I then realized that this is what I wanted to do with my life. The money didn’t matter because I hate both science and math so it didn’t make any since for me to become a dentist. This mission even affected this situation because I was able to be one of today’s leaders by making a good decision about what I want to be in life. I am happy that I am doing this right now but the only thing left is for me to find the right school .I will be complete I will be able to presume my career and do exactly what I know best. I think that I will be a great teacher and affect many children’s life.

The poverty levels in affect me by what I see. I am a very lucky person to realize that I am blessed enough to have a warm bed to sleep in and food on the table. There are homeless people everywhere in New Orleans. There are people that live under the bridge that has to find food. I have also had the opportunity to go to homeless shelters and help pass out food for the people that come for the meals. The people that are homeless are so thankful to get the foods that we may sometimes take for granted .It really opened my eyes to know that I am truly lucky. When it is raining have an umbrella and a place to run inside to. If it gets cold I can go in my house and get in my bed and turn on the heater. I can go in the refrigerator  get some milk and make hot chocolate .There are many families who are on welfare and food stamps and .I am lucky .I wish that our government could be a little more helpful with this society because right now. A lot of the problems that we have going on in society .Everyone in our government is getting screwed over and some of the people are even going to jail. This is something that is ridiculous and needs to be stopped. This city by itself needs a change .Someone needs to come and make a deference in our society of this city.

This is something that is ridiculous and needs to be stopped. This city by itself needs a change .Someone needs to come and make a deference in our society of this city.

Why did I choose to come to Xavier? Friday, Oct 24 2008

Xavier was not the school that I had planned on attending in the fall two weeks before graduation. Two weeks before graduation I was on my way ready to attend South Eastern Louisiana University. I had everything that I needed to be ready to start school in the fall. Then my parent called me in the living room one evening and told me anything negative that they could think of about the school of my choice. They told me that right now Xavier was going to be the school for me. I told them that it didn’t make any sense for me to go to this school I was an education major I could have went to many other school and studied my major for a ,much smaller price. Since I’ve been here at Xavier it’s been exactly what I expected it to be a great school .But just not the school for me. True I am practicing in my field but at this school it’s seem that my major is a joke .This wasn’t my choice at all to come here. My parent s on the other hand felt it was the perfect place to be. It’s at home and they didn’t want me to stay in the dorm so that means they can still watch my every move .So vie never been to any real college events and I’m eighteen  thanks to coming to Xavier and living at home.

What is your favorite class and why? Friday, Oct 24 2008

 

I do not have a favorite class here at Xavier. None of them are exciting to me at all. But I think it may be that way because that is the way that I make this school. This is something that starts to occur when you begin to get a little older and you’re not excepting it. This is a certainty of fear of becoming old. Try to back track and become what is young and be what is young is certainly a big fear. To know that you are moving on with your life and you will not be able to go back and rewind anything. To have that feeling about life can really be scary to some people .Some teen even have a certainty of fear it called peer pressure. These adolescents feel that they have to fit in so that they can be it with the in crowd. Sometimes being in the in-crowd may be sacrificial. Some students may have to do things the feel is not supposed to be. The teenagers are pressured into doing very fearful things especially things that they know your parents wouldn’t want them to do. .There is many examples of a certainty of fear and many stories that help explain it even better. This title is explained through-out the entire story. Whoever reads this story will have a greater understanding for the meaning of this story by the time they finish reading. I feel very uncomfortable here.

Roe vs. Wade this was a case discussing should abortion be illegal or not.

Though the legislative branch makes the laws the judicial branch has the power to 

Argue the point to what they feel is right. In this situation that exactly what happened. The

Legislative branch wanted it to be illegal for women to have an abortion. The supreme

Court justice over ruled this law. They argued the point that any communication between

A woman and her doctor is private there for this made it legal to have abortion because

One can’t arrest someone for something that they don’t know about. Though the legislative

Branch has the power to make the laws the judicial branch has the power to over rule

Them due to checks and balances.

            The system of check and balance helped the judicial branch win this case. This is

Because in the system of checks and balances came together. The judicial branch felt that

This law was unconstitutional to a person’s right so that what they declared it. Each

Branch has the power to change anything that they are given the power to change. Each

Branch can do this over each other because checks and balances are created for this

Equality to balance off everyone’s power.

            Check and balances are effective in the system of government. If there were no

Check and balances the three branches would have chaos and confusion. The government

Does not like confusion or chaos. So who ranks the highest level in government none?
