Obama’s Father Sunday, Oct 25 2009

I think Obama’s dad would be depressed about the book, because Obama made it without his father. If that was me, I would be mad that I wasnt in my child’s life to see him become successful. But I beleive that Obama’s Father would be proud of him regardless of whether he was present in his life or not.

My Favorite Class @ Xavier Sunday, Oct 25 2009

My favorite class at Xavier has to be my introduction to sociology class. Dr. Lee gives us his lecture, but I enjoy how he incorporates present day social circumstances, such as things going on in New Orleans into his lectures. Then, I like how he allows us to give feedback and voice our opinions on whats going on in society.

Poverty VS. New Orleans Sunday, Oct 25 2009

I think poverty has hurt New Orleans by making it appear like its a lower class of a community. To me, 95% of the city looks like its poverty stricken. But the poverty does give New Orleans a unique look about it that differs it from other cities

The type of Leadership Skills I possess Sunday, Oct 25 2009

The leadership skills that I posses are knowing how to handle my self in tough predicaments by taking charge of the situation head on, and figure out the best way to solve it and how to get things done effectively and efficiently.

My Future Professional Plans and Xavier’s Mission Sunday, Oct 25 2009

After I finish school at Xavier and receive my pharmacy license, I plan on staying here in the city and work as a pharmacist at a local clinic. Then, once I make enough money for a house and another car, and to fully sustain myself, I plan on moving to Maryland to attend John Hopkins University’s Medical School, so I can pursue my dream of becoming an anesthesiologist. I beleive my future profession would tie into Xavier’s mission in helping others and bettering humanity.

The Reason why I chose to attend Xavier Sunday, Oct 25 2009

Ever since I was around eight, I always used to visit my grandma in the summer here in New Orleans. When we all used to go out places and drive to her house, we always passed Xavier. I never knew what Xavier actually was, but I used to always ask my grandmother what the building I saw was and she always told me it was Xavier. Then when I got old enough to realize that Xavier was a University, and a Historically Black one at that, I made it up in my mind that I would attend school here. Then, when it was my time to start applying to colleges, I filled out my application, and took the neccessary steps to get me here, and God made it possible for me to be here.
