katherine drexel Friday, Dec 4 2009

Katharine Drexel was a woman who had love for the poor and oppressed. she wanted to give african and native americans a chance at an education. Her and her congregation found and staffed schools for them. She open and supported nearly 60 schools and one of them included Xavier university. as for as her being proud of Xavier today I believe she will be somewhat proud. If her mission was to give african americans a place where they can get a good education than she would be proud.

what would obama’s father think of the book? Monday, Oct 12 2009

I believe that Barack Obama’s father would be very proud of him for writting the book. I think he would have read the book and realized how wonderful his son really is. For him to be able to share the good and bad things in his life with the world. It would show him how much he has learned and how much he has grown over the year. It would also show how his father had such an impact in his life. I believe that his father would not only be proud of him for writting the book but also for all the things he has accomplished in his life so far.

How has poverty benefited New Orleans? How has poverty hurt New Orleans? Monday, Oct 12 2009

Poverty has benefited New Orleans by bringing to light the issues people living here face on a daily basis. for example since hurricane Katrina New Orleans has been getting alot of attention from the media and people are starting to realize the things that need to be improved. I do  believe that poverty has hurt New Orleans by leading people who are on the outside looking in to believe that New Orleans is not a good place to live, grow up, or even raise a family.

my favorite class Monday, Oct 12 2009

My favorite class at Xavier would have to be English.  Although writting is not my favorite thing to do, I still like the class because we also have class discussions about almost anything. It gives us a chance to talk about what ever is on our mind.

what leadership skills do i possess Monday, Oct 12 2009

The leadership skills that I possess are listening and setting an example. In my opion a leader is more than a person who gives orders. A leader should also be able to listen and understand. The most important leadership skill that i possess would be seting an example. By setting an example I show other the proper way to conduct themselves in any setting.

Why Did I Choose Xavier? Thursday, Oct 8 2009

I decided to come to Xavier because it has a great pharmacy program. My other option was ULM, but I think I made the right choice. The benifits about Xavier are, its location and the campus size. Its location because its about 20 minutes away from my house. The campus size because all my classes are a few minutes away from each other. It also makes it easier when you have classes that are ten minutes apart.
