Week 8: Katherine Drexel Sunday, Nov 29 2009
Week Eight 7:33 pm
Do I think Katherine Drexel would be happy with the way Xavier has turn out today? Uhm…HECK YEA I DO! I mean as a majority black university were doing darn good, not to mention the College of Pharmacy, which is on a whole other level. I also believe she would be happy because the mission she started in the early 1900’s is identical to the current mission statement. So she would be very proud of Xavier.
Week 9: Interview a Senior Sunday, Nov 29 2009
Week Nine 7:30 pm
I interviewed Kristin Signater
“I truly believe that if I continue doing what I’m doing, than Xaviers mission will be proven right. Thats the bottomline. The way I see it, its a two way thing. Students do their part and the faculty will do theirs, and the mission will be achieved.”

Barack Obama Book Sunday, Oct 11 2009
Miscellaneous 9:41 pm
This book is very extradordianry and i actually read it before he was elected. the things that he talks about and reveals about himself i nthis book is very private and like WOW. I feel that his father would be proud of this book because it explains everything and does make it seem like it was the easiest thing to do. To put a book out there that does not discourage people at all is very hard and then say these type of voyages are not the easiest thing ever. So for him to wrote about how he got there is very inspirational. So I know his father is very proud of him because he has accomplished so many things.
Poverty in New Orleans Sunday, Oct 11 2009
Miscellaneous 9:03 pm
Poverty has benefited New Orleans because it has brought light to alot of the things that are going on in New Orleans which has caused people to try and help New Orleans. The way poverty has hurt New Orleans is because it brings a city down. Some people may look down on the city because they are aware of the many case of poverty stricten families and some people would say New Orleans is a bad place when in all that is true. Some places may be bad in the city but not everywhere. Being aware of the poverty stricten families will may people want a change in that area. Noone enjoys seeing people in poverty and if someone does they aren’t normal.

What leaderships skills i possess? Sunday, Oct 11 2009
Miscellaneous 8:57 pm
I personally think i possess quite a few leadership skills. one of them being the ability to communicate with others fairly well and being able to consider everyones opinons. another skill i possess is punctuality; i think that is something tha is very crucial in being a leader and i have it downpacked. but the most important skill that i possess as a leader is the ability to listen and learn, if you cant do that than whats the point in trying to lead something or someone.
Why did i choose Xavier? Sunday, Oct 11 2009
Miscellaneous 8:52 pm
The only real reason that i chose to come to Xavier is because ”>ireally wanted to leave home and not go to LSU. once i started researching Xavier i learned a lot about their academics and they actually had my major. i also learned that it was the only majority black catholic university. also a lot of my friends were coming here so that was the icing on the cake.
Favorite Class Tuesday, Oct 6 2009
Miscellaneous 7:58 pm
My favorite class would have to be precalculus hands down. I know most people hate math, but ive always liked it and i still do. I think i also like it because its just basically a review of what i learned in high school. of course the class wouldnt be my favorie if i didnt like the teacher, but thats not the case here, my teacher is very entertaining. also his method of teaching is very new to me and i think it works a lot better than other teachers.
